Overview:
Residence Inn Berkeley is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Controller, the Accounting Manager will oversee key aspects of the general ledger accounting functions, ensure accuracy, and assist with the preparation of timely financial reports. The ideal candidate will maintain the integrity of all accounting procedures, records, and reports while adhering to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and the company's Internal Control Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Income Journal Management: Maintain accurate income transaction records and generate detailed revenue reports.
Accounts Payable (AP): Manage the full AP cycle, ensuring timely vendor payments and accurate invoice processing.
Accounts Receivable (AR): Supervise AR functions, including invoicing and collections, while closely monitoring aging reports.
Month-End Close: Coordinate month-end close activities, prepare journal entries, and analyze variances to ensure financial accuracy.
Balance Sheet Reconciliation: Perform regular balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy and address any discrepancies promptly.
Assist the Controller with the timely and accurate preparation of financial reports.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred).
3-5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal control procedures.
Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent organizational and leadership skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Compensation Range:
The compensation for this position is $65,000.00/Yr. - $85,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience.
