Your Impact as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist:

Perform Procedures: Conduct routine to complex diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using radiopharmaceuticals to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions.

Diverse Settings: Work in both inpatient and outpatient settings, interacting with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

Specimen Handling: Collect, prepare, and analyze biological specimens, ensuring accurate and timely results.

Quality Assurance: Perform radiation safety and quality control procedures on all Nuclear Medicine equipment, adhering to departmental protocols.

Training and Education: Participate in the orientation and training of assigned staff, students, residents, and faculty.

Performance Improvement: Contribute to performance improvement activities within the department.

Senior & Principal Technologist Opportunities:

Senior Technologist:

Demonstrate competency and participate in a lead/coordinator role.

Instruct in at least two specialty procedures.

Actively participate in clinical protocol development, improvement, and implementation.

Principal Technologist:

Demonstrate competency and participate in a lead/coordinator role.

Actively participate in annual performance improvement projects or QA/Radiation Safety meetings.

Instruct in at least three specialty procedures and perform them independently.

Actively participate in clinical and research protocol development, maintenance, improvement, and implementation.

Qualifications:

Required:

CNMT certification from NMTCB or ARRT(N)

CA state license as a Certified Technologist in Nuclear Medicine

BLS (CPR) certification

Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine training program

Senior Technologist:

All of the above, plus a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Principal Technologist:

All of the above, plus a minimum of 7 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist.

Flexibility and Adaptability:

This position requires flexibility to work at multiple locations in the Bay Area and various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
