We provide opportunities to work across our national network. dnata catering U.S. is looking for a Payroll Clerk to join our Brisbane, CA team supporting both San Francisco and Los Angeles CA. Airports. Key Responsibilities: for compiling and entering payroll data to maintain accurate payroll records

You Will:
Serve as the first point of contact for employees at the San Francisco CA. and Los Angeles CA. units regarding time and attendance and payroll-related inquiries.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of new hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
Audit and review timesheets for accuracy, adhering to California Meal Break Rules, California Overtime rules, etc.
Validate the accuracy of payroll check computations and correct errors to ensure payroll accuracy.
Ensure accurate withholding of pre-tax and post-tax deductions, payroll taxes, union dues, etc.
Process garnishments/liens, employment verification forms, direct deposits, W-4 changes, etc.
Oversee and participate in the timely and accurate payroll processing for multiple locations.
Input payroll adjustments into the payroll system and update employee information such as addresses, phone numbers, and withholding.
Maintain payroll operations by following policies and procedures and report any needed changes.
Provide excellent customer service and troubleshoot problems when they arise.
Train new employees and staff on the payroll process and system functions
Perform other duties as assigned.
The salary range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00 Horly with weekly pay, which represents base pay only and does not include short-term or long-term incentive compensation. When determining base pay, as part of a final compensation package, we consider several factors such as location, experience, qualifications, and training.
You Have:
External Relationships
Partner with the Corporate Payroll Specialist and unit HR.
maintain accurate payroll records for our San Francisco CA. and Los Angeles CA. units.
Communication and Process
Excellent communication skills, including conflict management and resolution, with a track record of payroll.
NONESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 1 year of payroll processing experience.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel.
Experience with large employee populations.
Multi-state experience is a plus.
ADP Workforce experience a must.
Knowledge of federal/state/local regulations.
Ability to work independent.
Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion.

Intellectual/Social demands:
While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is continuously asked to multi-task under time limits. Position requires constant attention to precise details and accuracy of specified standards including following simple to complex (more than 3 steps) instructions, and concentration which frequently extends beyond 30 minutes at a time. Employees in this role will constantly be in leadership role; this requires directing others either verbally or in writing to complete tasks in prescribed time frame. This position also requires constant use of interpersonal skills including: ability to direct/motivate/inform CSR's and other related staff, foster collaboration, being able to recognize and resolve conflicts, being able to openly communicate in writing and verbally with customers.
Physical demands:
While performing the essential functions of the job, the employee constantly operates a computer and other office devices such as telephones, copy machines, fax machines, etc.; occasionally moves about inside the office to access storage areas, cabinets, and office machinery; constantly moves about the office or units before, during and after production; constantly communicates via telephone, email, and in-person with others to exchange accurate information. Stands for long periods of time and must be able to lift up to 20 lbs.
Work environment:
The essential functions of this position are performed indoors. The noise level in the work environment can range from minimal to loud during meetings, depending on the incumbent's location, and minimal during non-meeting times.
