Job Description Accounting Manager
Full-Time, Exempt
Hybrid Role (Requires 2-3 days onsite)
Work Location: Buellton, CA 93427
The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting the Controller with overseeing the accounting operations of the company and ensuring that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles. This includes preparing and reviewing day-to- day financial transactions, assisting in the preparation of financial statements, and leading areas of the month-end close. This position will also oversee the day-to-day operations and strategic goals of the entire A/P function through management, maintenance, implementation, and design of improved business procedures and functions for the entire process. The Accounting Manager will also directly manage other accounting staff, including A/P associates. This position will have contact with all levels of the organization and external vendors and auditors.

- Manage Accounts Payable team.
- Champion company mission and goals.
- Inspire employee accountability to meet high standards and performance expectations.
- Empower, prioritize and delegate effectively.
- Develop and nurture talent to improve department operations and create future leaders.
- Direct Reports: A/P Staff
- Responsible for training direct reports as needed.
- Responsible for reviewing performance and administering corrective action.
- Plans the work schedules, assigns duties, tracks absenteeism and reviews work to ensure quality standards.

Salary
$100000 - $125000 USD per year Required Skills
Required:
- Bachelor s degree in Accounting or relevant field
- Previous experience as an Accounting Manager in a similar sized business and/or public company
- Five or more years experience in accounting or financial management field
- Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and controls implementation
- Experience analyzing problems and implementing systems, workflows and controls in a company with revenue growth
- Possess effective written and verbal communication skills for interaction with team, peers, and management
- Prior experience with ERPs
- Possess a valid California Driver s License
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
