Paralegal - Toxic Tort Asbestos Cases

Salary: $70,000 - $90,000

Location: California (Hybrid)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Paralegal to support our Toxic Tort Asbestos litigation team. In this role, you will assist with case management, document preparation, and research tasks for complex asbestos-related legal matters. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with a background in toxic tort cases to contribute to high-stakes litigation.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Assist attorneys with the management of asbestos and toxic tort cases, including case organization and file maintenance.
  • Prepare and organize legal documents, including discovery requests, pleadings, and court filings.
  • Conduct thorough research on case law, statutes, and regulations related to toxic tort and asbestos litigation.
  • Coordinate and schedule depositions, hearings, and trials; prepare witnesses and assist with trial preparation.
  • Review and summarize discovery materials, including medical records and expert reports.
  • Manage case calendars and deadlines, ensuring timely compliance with court and procedural requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case notes and records, tracking all case activities and deadlines.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree and/or a paralegal certification from an accredited program.
  • Minimum of three years of experience as a paralegal, preferably with a focus on toxic tort or asbestos cases.
  • Strong familiarity with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in drafting and reviewing legal documents and correspondence.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills and a collaborative approach to working with attorneys and clients.
