Volt is hiring for a remote Visual Designer II in the Los Angeles, CA vicinity.
As a Visual Designer II you will:
work on creative sports projects from conception to final handoff while optimizing existing visual design solutions and working with cross-functional stakeholders and partners to meet business goals.
• Collaborate and coordinate requirements with a diverse set of stakeholders including program management, product, design, interactive and engineering
• Craft best in class visual designs, iconography, photo illustrations and sports artwork that align with the company's brand
• Develop graphic and visual solutions hand in hand with product designers and interactive designers for our consumer-facing native app and responsive web experiences
• Present visual design work to the Visual Studio team, stakeholders and Design leadership
• Seek opportunities within a project or product for visual storytelling, creativity and company personality
• Bring in-depth visual or graphic design knowledge as well as interest in the latest design and technology trends related to sports, athletes and culture
This is a remote (but needs to be local to the Los Angeles vicinity) contract opportunity on a 13-month contract.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience
•Experience designing high-quality experiences and user flows across app and web
• Motion design experience
• A strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
• The ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively
• Hunger for innovation, eager to challenge the status quo
• A strong work ethic, that you are reliable, adaptable, and work well with others
• The ability to design within brand guides and contribute to design language
• Strong knowledge of design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite
A strong visual design background with experience working alongside product designers. Need to understand product design, and how to design for these teams. Please be sure to include a portfolio along with the submittal (ideally embedded in the resume). Candidates do not need to come from sports entertainment but would ideally have an interest in sports.
Pay Range: $64.28/hr
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
