What you'll do Development and certification of the Next Generation End Cryptographic Unit (ECU) and high assurance Cryptographic High Value Product (CHVP). The day-to-day Design, documentation, implementation, prototyping, and testing of next generation encryption devices on cutting edge high speed or ultra-low power digital circuit boards for Layer 3 In-line Network Encryptors. What you'll need Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering
8+ years hardware design or sustaining experience
Foundational knowledge of analog and digital logic and timing considerations
Must be able to prioritize, be detail oriented, and have history of handling time well to accomplish multiple tasks in parallel
Ability to work independently, take initiative, take ownership of tasks and results
US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance Ability to travel up to 10% What will help you on the job Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to work with a temporally and geographically diverse team
Ability to document and report on technical solutions/findings
Solid understanding of MS Office products for documentation creation and modification
Familiarity with standard test equipment (i.e., oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzer, power supplies, etc.)
Familiarity with production related processes and common failure modes
High aptitude for learning new things
Desire to be part of a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and troubleshoot production related issues Salary range $132,200.00 - $230,000.00 / annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience.
