Protection of property, people, assets, and information is an important component of our Security program. Provide security oversight for contractor activities taking place on campus and provide situational awareness for the Campus Security team.
Understand and enforce security and access control policies in a professional and personable manner.
Use good interpersonal skills to deal effectively and courteously with a diverse group of individuals.
Follow detailed instructions and carry out directions.
Have strong situational awareness.
Use strong customer service skills. Must be able to work with customers and other visitors in a professional, courteous manner.
Candidates who demonstrate solid work discipline may be given exposure to additional job duties associated with our physical security environment. What you'll need The schedule is based on internal support needs so candidates must be willing and able to work flexible hours or fill shifts as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone who is retired, going to school, or looking for supplemental income.
High School Diploma or GED
U.S. Citizenship
Valid CA Driver's License
Must be able to obtain a U.S. Government Secret clearance.
This position includes operation of a company vehicle and will require a valid driver's license and compliance with the Viasat Vehicle Driver Policy. A detailed Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) assessment will be required as part of Viasat's pre-employment screening. Viasat Vehicle Driver Program

Open availability to support the Security Operations team during day, afternoon, nights, and weekend shifts.
