DESCRIPTION :

The Company Driver's primary role is to operate a box truck or company vehicle to deliver products to vendors, client locations and photoshoots while ensuring excellent customer service and proper handling of products. The position also involves supporting warehouse shipping and receiving activities.



DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Under general supervision this position safely operates the company truck or automobile to deliver products and/or pick up merchandise.

  • Assist with shipping and receiving functions in the warehouse.

  • Ensure vehicles are fueled according to company policy and report any required repairs or maintenance.

  • Coordinate regular vehicle maintenance appointments and communicate to the Logistics manager when a vehicle needs additional attention.

  • Comply with all safety regulations and traffic laws.

  • Manage loading and unloading of inventory, adhering to company safety guidelines.

  • Complete scheduled weekly deliveries, photoshoot deliveries, and installations.

  • Ensure accurate documentation, including delivery records and Bills of Lading (BOLs) for local deliveries.

  • Maintain packing standards for products during transportation and storage.

  • Assist with large freight orders and help maintain an organized and clean warehouse.

  • Inspect products for damages before and during delivery.

  • Accurately store products and maintain a clean work environment.

  • Inspect products for defects and damages before and during delivery.

  • Assist in house team with additional support for studio photoshoots.



DRIVER QUALIFICATIONS :

  • 1+ years of warehouse experience, preferably in home decor or interiors.

  • Experience driving a 26' box truck.

  • Valid California Department of Motor Vehicles Driver's license for the class of vehicle to be operated

  • Must have no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses.

  • Must have a satisfactory motor vehicle record - required.


DRIVER SKILLS :

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

  • Basic math and writing skills for reports and correspondence.

  • Ability to write clear and grammatical reports and correspondence.

  • Effective communication skills with customers and team members.

  • Ability to operate a hand truck, pallet jack and other warehouse equipment.


DRIVER ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS :

  • Team player with strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to lift and move large items, up to 50 lbs. while utilizing appropriate equipment and safety techniques.

  • Full time availability
