Job description

Specialized Recruiting Group is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist for a manufacturing company in the City Of Industry. The ideal candidate will be proficient in handling Form 1099, Concur expenses, overseas subsidiary company payments, and calculating foreign exchange rates.
Pay: $ 2 2 .00 -$25.00 DOE
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Responsibilities:

• Pay vendors by monitoring discounts, scheduling checks, resolving purchase orders, contracts, invoices, and discrepancies, ensuring credits, and issuing stop-payments, or amendments.
• Calculate foreign exchange rates
• Maintain accounts payable reports, spreadsheets, and files.
• Reconcile processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports and recording entries.
• Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting transactions.
• Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
• Update and maintain the vendor database.
• Process and enter 200-300 invoices weekly.
• Review invoices for documentation and approval before payment.
• Print and obtain signatures on all accounts payable checks.
• Distribute signed checks as required.
• Assist in monthly closings.
• Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors and employees.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist in a manufacturing or similar industry
• Strong knowledge of accounts payable principles, practices, and procedures.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and MC Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle a high volume of transactions accurately and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
