Job description

Position : Patient Clerical Aide

Location : 2540 East St, Concord, CA,94520

Duration: 29 weeks contract (Extendable)

Hours: (5-8 hours) Every Thurs/Fri 4p-9p, every other Weds 4p-9p, every other Sat/Sun 7a-330p

Skills:

Knowledge of medical terminology through experience or completion of a course.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)

Requirement :

Patient and Customer Experience

Greets all visitors to the patient care area, answering questions and providing assistance.

Facilitates delivery of lab specimens and security of patient belongings.

Upon admission is responsible for orientating patient to room and providing visitor orientation to family.

Departmental Operations

Completes unit-specific daily assignments including daily schedules, timecards, filing, and updating electronic health records.

Patient Scheduling

Coordinates scheduling for patient testing and medical procedures.

Referral and Admission Review

Assists with admission, discharges, and transfers as directed by the nursing staff.

Inventory Control

Orders and organizes storeroom, nursing station and other unit supplies.

Documentation

Keeps legal paperwork up-to-date. Ensures 5250's are filled out and served in a timely manner.

Education:

High School Diploma
