General Accountant

The Automobile Club of Southern California is seeking a General Accountant to support our Motor Club Accounting team processing invoices, preparing journal entries and month end close.

What You'll Do:

You will prepare and understand recurring and non-recurring journal entries, research and resolve reporting errors or discrepancies timely.

You'll perform monthly analysis of expense and revenue variances to budget.

You will perform monthly reconciliations timely and accurately. Investigate and resolve reconciling items.

You'll perform other month end duties and assist in the preparation of financial reports and data required on a timely basis.

You will prepare quarterly cost allocation studies

You'll assist in identifying and documenting processes and procedures.

You will work cross-functionally with other team members to gain understanding of business and data requirements to ensure general ledger balances are correct, transactions are classified properly and reported accurately.

Complete ad hoc duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

You'll process payments to vendors timely

What You'll Need:

1-2 years of progressive and relevant accounting experience.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work independently and with different departments within the organization.

Experience working in a fast paced and heavy deadline driven environment

Oracle and Hyperion experience preferred.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.

The starting pay range for this position is:

$25.56 - $34.08Additionally, for full time positions, you will be eligible to participate in our incentive program based upon the achievement of organization, team and personal performance.
