Job description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century's most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril's family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years. The Business Systems team is responsible for building and improving the many business systems that enables Anduril to accomplish its mission. Anduril's supply chain, accounting, sales & growth, physical engineering, field maintenance, manufacturing, and many more teams rely on the technology built by us. We call our ecosystem of software " Arsenal OS ", which you can read more about here . As the product leader for our Engineering Systems domain (aka Engineering OS , a component of Arsenal OS ), you will be responsible for delivering business outcomes of workflows executed across Engineering OS. You will work with stakeholder teams comprised of a wide variety of disciplines (systems, mechanical, electrical, configuration management, hardware product management, etc.) across many departments to understand their priorities and requirements, craft a comprehensive product roadmap that meets their needs, and work hand in hand with the Engineer Systems technical organization to develop excellent solutions that delivers positive business impact. Key Responsibilities Across all the software products that spans Engineering OS Develop the product vision after synthesizing stakeholder requirements and feedback and aligning with targeted business outcomes Craft product roadmaps and ensure that roadmap is effectively decomposed for your technical team's backlog Closely partner with Engineering OS technical team members to mesh stakeholder requirements with technical solutions Communicate across stakeholders on your products' development and roadmap Make build vs. buy decisions when choosing solutions Integrate your products' with surrounding systems and ensuring total compatibility Drive adoption through education, training, and communication Monitor and track product performance to understand if business outcomes are indeed successful Required Characteristics: Anduril is an extremely fast-paced defense technology startup that is rapidly scaling itself. Our culture is one of ambition, hard work, relentless pursuit of excellence, and deliberate disruption. The successful candidate will be one who demonstrates the follow core characteristics: Bias for Action - they ask for forgiveness, not permission, and hate the idea of waiting around to be told what to do Outcome-Oriented - they determine what benefits the business needs and work backwards from those outcomes. The antiquated IT concept of "system availability" is abhorrent to the ideal candidate, they care about if the business actually got value from their product, not if it was just made to specification Customer Focused - they display user empathy to boost engagement and build experiences that delight Strong Product Sense - they know when in the product's lifecycle to focus on optimizing the end user experience and when to focus on enterprise-level functionality Dive Deep - they sweat the details and roll up their sleeves to uncover the root causes for systemic issues, be it technical shortfalls or lack of user comprehension of a product Ownership - they care deeply not just about their products, but for all the business outcomes that their systems supports as well, holding themselves accountable for everything it both does and fails to do Agility - they change directions easily and without regret, quickly adapting to shifting business priorities First Principles Thinking - they approach problems and develop solutions not based on what a vendor recommends or because it's how they did things at their last job, but from a deep appreciation of what is best for the enterprise Required Qualifications 10+ years developing physical engineering software, with knowledge and opinions on what the ideal workflows of CAD, PLM, CAS software should look like, as well as how those workflows interact with upstream (SysML, requirements management) and downstream systems (ERP, MES) Expertise in industry-leading physical software suites like Siemens (strongly preferred), PTC, Dassault, or others Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to command a room and interface at the SVP / Executive level Aptitude for working with stakeholders who span a wide range of technical expertise Demonstrated success decomposing a problem into addressable component parts and arranging the correct sequencing to maximize business outcomes Proven ability to "see around corners" by crafting product strategy for 12-18 months into the future Comfort in maturing a product from MVP to enterprise-grade production Must be able to travel up to 25% of the time to help various offices in adoption of your team's products Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. clearance Preferred Qualifications Years of experience as a user of CAD/CAS/PLM software with strong opinions on how end users' experience should look like Aerospace, Defense, or Automotive industry experience US Salary Range $174,000 - $261,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only.
