Job description

As the Production Manager, you will lead and oversee the day-to-day production operations in our food manufacturing facility. Your primary focus will be on ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, optimizing production schedules, and adhering to food safety regulations. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving continuous improvement, maximizing productivity, and fostering a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.

Description

  • Manage all production activities, ensuring timely and efficient manufacturing of high-quality food products.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet company goals and customer demand.
  • Implement and enforce food safety standards (HACCP, GMP, and other regulatory compliance).
  • Lead, train, and develop production staff, ensuring performance standards are met.
  • Monitor and improve production KPIs, such as throughput, waste reduction, downtime, and labor utilization.
  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain departments to resolve production-related issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean manufacturing and process optimization.
  • Oversee equipment maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and food industry regulations.
  • Prepare and manage the production budget, controlling costs and reducing waste.

Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field preferred.
  • Bilingual Spanish is a must.
  • Minimum of 5 years of production management experience in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Proven experience in managing teams and improving production processes.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficient in production management software and MS Office Suite.

This role is M-F with Saturday 1-2 times a month.
