Job Description: Job Description: Position Overview:
Prepares specimens for analysis; performs and reports waived, moderate, or high complexity clinical laboratory procedures. Performs all procedures in compliance with written SOPs and FACT, AABB, ACHI, CAP, FDA and Joint Commission regulations. Assists in teaching students and staff. Works as authorized by the Laboratory Director under Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments of 1988, CFR Section 493.1445(a).

Minimum Qualifications:
California CLS license required.
1-year Clinical Microbiology CLS is required, preferred Hospital based.
Must have at least one year of experience in microbiology department. Molecular, biology experience will not a substitute for this.
Must also have required experience in reading Gram Stains, especially Positive Blood Cultures, AFB Stains, KOH stains, Fungal Stains, Parasitology stains, and perform Molecular Clinical PCR testing.

Schedule:
PM Shift 4p-12:30. Will work rotating weekends, Every other weekend a must. Willingness to work holidays a must.

Location: Onsite at the medical center.

Conversion/FTE possibility: Possible.

Interview Type:
Onsite. Manager may request an initial phone screening before scheduling an onsite interview.
