Job description

ASRC Federal requires a highly motivated Aerospace Technician to support the ASTROS Contract as an Engineering Technician II. We are looking for someone with great mechanical ability, facility clean-up support and a willingness to support multiple projects in multiple ways. We are supporting cutting edge propulsion systems testing at the Air Force Research Center and we are looking for the best people to be a part of this research. This position will provide temporary On-Call support for a Test Site. Support on days will start immediately for approximately 30 days then this position will support 2nd or 3rd Shifts for up to 36 weeks at a time, once testing begins. Responsibilities: The successful candidate will have experience in the following: Basic knowledge of building construction and components (HVAC, drywall, plumbing, electrical, mechanical and landscaping). Must have basic experience with mechanical systems. Communication to Work Plan Manager on work progression. A basic understanding of hand tools and how to use them Proper use of a Weed Whip. A person that can prioritize tasks in constantly changing environment Wear assigned Personal Protective Equipment Will be required to work overtime and or work different shifts with little notice May be required to set mouse/rat traps and perform follow-up inspections, cleaning and resetting them. This position is offering a pay range of $25.40 - $31.00 hour depending on experience, seniority, geographic locations, and other factors permitted by law. Prompt and steady attendance is vital to the success of this position. Must place Safety of self and others ahead of everything else. All support MUST be well thought out, with safety in mind, before started. Must have great customer service skills and able to communicate the status of jobs and understand deadlines. Must have ability to work within a defined schedule and communicate any deviations. Must be able to know or quickly learn how to operate a forklift up to a 10K to start. Must know about and be able to use basic hand tools. Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to switch tasks at a moment's notice. Must be able to gain access to the customer's computer networks. Will be required to work Overtime or support different work shifts with little to no notice. Education/Experience: HS Graduate or Equivalent Two to three years of related experience. Clearance: Must be able to obtain a DOD Secret Clearance
