Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities, complies with applicable Federal Regulations, Occupational Health/Safety rules/practices; security requirements Administers performance management program responsibilities, ensuring employee performance plans, progress reviews, and appraisals are accomplished in compliance with AF guidance and timeframes. Plans on a quarterly or longer basis the overall use of personnel and other resources in two or more separate organizational segments or groups controlled through one or more levels of supervision Supports the agency's EEO program through allocation of personnel to participate in community outreach and recruitment programs, ensures full cooperation of employees with EEO office officials Performs work direction responsibilities. Assigns and explains work requirements and operating instructions to subordinate supervisors and sets deadlines and establishes the sequence of work operations to be followed. Ensures education in, compliance with, and practice of security directives, good safety, and health habits in all work areas. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use Supervisory requirements may be required depending upon the position being filled. An appropriate, valid state driver's license will be required for the position. Emergency overtime may be required The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C. QUALIFICATIONS: Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-2800 Electrical Installation And Maintenance Family. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying. Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is Ability to Lead or Supervise. JOB ELEMENTS: Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas: 1. Knowledge of Electrical Equipment. 2. Theory and Instruments (Electrical, Electronic) Used in Shop and Trade Practices. 3. Technical Practices (theoretical, precise, artistic). 4. Ability To Use Electrical Drawings. 5. Ability to Use and Maintain Hand Tools (Electrical Work). 6. Trouble shooting (electrical). 7. Knowledge of a wide range of principles, processes, and techniques of trade(s) and/or craft(s) supervised and personnel management policies, practices, and procedures, including sexual harassment and Equal Employment Opportunity/ Equal Employment Treatment 8. Knowledge of the use and maintenance of hand and power tools, equipment, and precision measuring and /or test equipment common to trades supervised 9. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and technical specifications 10. Knowledge of safety regulations, practices, and procedures. 11. Ability to plan and organize work assignments to include determining resources required to accomplish mission. 13. Ability to manage overall direction and coordination of subordinate work activities and functions and implement sound personnel policies, practices, and procedures through one or more levels of subordinate supervisors. 14. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
