This is a unique opportunity for the right candidate. We are seeking a highly skilled, technically knowledgeable, and motivated Chief Missile Engineer for a tactical Surface-to-Air Missile System program. The successful candidate will lead engineering to develop, integrate, test, produce, and support an air defense missile for urgent fielding. This role requires demonstrated extraordinary technical knowledge of air threat system, air defense missiles, and air defense systems. The candidate must have a proven history of exemplary initiative, work ethic, personal character, innovation, and a passion for rapidly delivering capability to US warfighters and international partners.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead engineering in the development, integration, testing, production, sustainment, and incremental enhancements for an air defense missile for urgent fielding. • Define technical requirements and performance specifications in collaboration with stakeholders, including government agencies and defense partners.
• Oversee system design and integration processes to ensure functionality, reliability, and safety standards are met or exceeded.
• Develop and execute test plans and procedures to validate system performance in various operational scenarios.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on software and hardware integration, ensuring alignment with project objectives and timelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies to manage project challenges effectively.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
• Prepare technical documentation, including feasibility studies, design specifications, and test reports, for both internal and external stakeholders.
