The Space and Intelligence Division provides engineering services and analytic support to the Air Force, Space Force, Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, and NASA. Our work includes systems engineering and integration, test planning and execution, cost estimating and analysis, developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging, high priority National Defense needs, and assessing and developing cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to meet those needs. SPA has a near-term need for both Mid-Level and Senior Cost Analysts to support a US Space Force customer. Responsibilities Duties associated with these positions include but are not limited to the following: Using parametric cost models to develop and document cost estimates, including software estimation, in support of annual military budgets. Develop and brief cost models and estimate results to senior government leaders. Perform thorough risk analysis. Develop statistical relationships through data collection and regression analysis. Review Contract Data Requirement Lists for compliance. Assess contractor proposals for cost realism and reasonableness. Support Program Office meetings, cost exclusions, analysis, briefings, Integrated Product Team (IPT) sessions, etc. Qualifications Required Qualifications: U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret clearance Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Analysis, or Engineering; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered 6+ years of experience for mid-level, 12+ years of experience for senior level with DoD, Intelligence Community, or National Security Space Cost Estimating experience Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate the results of evaluations and analysis Strong analytical and creative problem solving skillset and willingness to work in a team environment Desired Qualifications Experience supporting a program office at Space Systems Command (SSC) Experience supporting Space/ground software and/or hardware Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCE/A) or Certified Cost Professional (CCP) Experience with ACEIT Experience with SEER, PRICE, and other Cost Estimating tools Agile software development and/or rapid acquisition initiatives experience Top Secret clearance At SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent.
