Volt is immediately hiring for an Electrician Tech in Firebaugh, California.
As an Electrician Tech you will:
Be required to perform all functions of plant maintenance. The Electrician will install Maintain the electrical wiring and components, fixtures, and systems within the buildings. Maintenance personnel maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and improve the processes related to the mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment and the facilities of the Hulling plant to protect the legality of the product.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•Installs and repairs electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.
•Installs conduits and pipes to house electrical wires and cables.
•Ensures piping complies with electrical codes.
•Installs circuit breakers and other electrical hardware and connects wiring to them.
•Tests electrical systems to ensure proper installation and operation.
•Inspects electrical systems to determine whether repairs are needed.
•Replaces conduit and wiring as needed.
•Replaces circuit breakers as needed.
•Performs other related duties as assigned.
•Maintain accurate records for Job specifics
•Troubleshoots all issues that arise within the plant during the off season and Harvest season.
•Works closely with supervisors and maintenance personnel
•Complete pass down at the end of each shift
•Ability and willingness to assist all departments in maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of the entire facility.
•Ensure optimum machinery functionality for product quality.
•Diagnose issues to prevent loss in efficiency and reliability to achieve scheduled production
•Performs shut down, start-ups and cleaning in place of equipment
• Works closely with supervisors and maintenance personnel.
This is a Full-Time opportunity
The ideal candidate will have:

  • Knowledge of electrical schematics and blueprints.
  • Knowledge of high voltage and low voltage and able to troubleshoot the functionality within the variances of voltage.
  • VFD troubleshooting and programming.
  • Basic Skills with PLC's.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and adherence to protective clothing and gear is critical; must have great attention to detail, be flexible and able to contort their bodies to fit in unusual spaces.
  • Knowledge of a variety of building maintenance procedures and techniques.
  • Knowledge of machinery, equipment, and tools necessary for the maintenance and repair of equipment.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Skill in reading and following blueprints and assembly instructions.
  • Skills in following safety practices and recognizing hazards.
  • Skill in using hand and power tools.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

1st shift
Monday-Friday 8 hour shifts (10 hours during peak season)
Pay is $33 per hour
Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
