Team Overview
Our Finance team is a passionate, high-performing group committed to supporting PowerSchool operations through accurate and timely financial transaction management. The team provides critical business guidance on a broad range of accounting, reporting, and analytical projects, ensuring the integrity of financial data.
Responsibilities:
Description
Our Accounting team manages business transactions on behalf of the organization, reporting on company performance, issuing financial statements, and maintaining financial records. Your day-to-day job will consist of:
Thorough review of journal entries and reconciliations, following up with requestors for any additional support or understandings if necessary
Liaise with wide range of partners throughout the organization to maintain effective, SOX-compliant processes and drive automation
Lead and support coordination efforts with internal and external auditors
Ensure policies and processes are well documented, applied consistently and broadly
Identify areas for process improvement and efficiencies, and drive solutions focusing on regional and global standardization
Assist the daily activities and the career development of team members, including hiring, coaching, reviewing work, establishing goals and performance management of team members as required
Assist in implementing and maintaining robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks
Support finance department initiatives, including software and systems implementation and other departmental or company-wide improvements, through research, planning and implementation, as needed
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of 8 to 12 years of relevant and related work experience
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
CPA is required
Experience managing and leading teams and managers
Experience working with external auditors, internal controls, and compliance
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
High attention to detail with outstanding analytical/problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and cross functionally
Preferred Qualifications
MBA
Public company experience
Experience working with Netsuite and Floqast
Strong knowledge of ASC 350 and ASC 842

A reasonable estimate of the base compensation range for this position is $174,000 - $217,000 USD. This compensation range is specific to the United States and it incorporates many factors including but not limited to an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience and training; licensures, degrees, and certifications; internal equity; internal pay ranges; and market data/range parameters.
