CRMC serves 2.5 million people within 9 counties and is home to the only comprehensive Burn and Level I Trauma Center between Los Angeles and Sacramento. Responsibilities:
The Supervisor of Environmental Services is responsible for supporting the staff who maintain a safe, clean and inviting environment for the benefit of all patients, visitors and staff. Promotes teamwork and serves as a resource for all Environmental Services (EVS) staff. Communicates regularly with service areas to ensure expectations are clear and needs are met. Supports continuous performance improvement. Accountabilities 1. Holds staff accountable for quality of work and productivity. Performs inspections according to department goals and provides feedback to employees.2. Performs service recovery.3. Creates, maintains, and updates shift schedules and area assignments.4. Investigates and reports employee injuries and near misses.5. Monitors and maintains documentation and adequate records (e.g. OR logs, employee documentation, regulatory documentation, etc.).6. Contacts and responds to department vendors to resolve issues.7. Ensures proper tools and supplies are in working condition and available for staff use (e.g. keys, carts, chemicals).8. Provides input regarding operational needs, budget development, and department goals.9. Reviews new chemicals, tools, and cleaning techniques.10. Troubleshoots issues as able. Passes unresolved issues to appropriate department for follow-up.11. Participates and/or leads in departmental performance improvement initiatives.12. Administers the HR processes for employees: participates in the hiring and interviewing process; completes time and attendance; coordinates the performance evaluation process to ensure consistent evaluations within scheduled time frames; performs disciplinary processes in service area and advises the Manager of all final written warnings and terminations. Provides safety and department orientation to new hires.13. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education• High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Experience• 2 years of experience in Environmental Services required• Environmental Services experience in a hospital environment preferred• Experience as a Team Lead in Environmental Services preferred Licenses and Certifications• T-CHEST - Certified Healthcare Environmental Services Technician Trainer by the Association for the Health Care Environment (AHE) preferred• DOT - Department of Transportation certification for Hazardous Waste Generator preferred
