Job description

The Full Charge Bookkeper will have strong bookkeeping skills, experience in financial reporting, and the ability to supervise a small team. This role involves hands-on work with general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable and month-end closing processes. With 2 years of management experience, the Full Charge Bookkeeper will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and providing accurate financial insights to the leadership team.

Key Responsibilities & Functions

Manage the full cycle of bookkeeping, including general ledger entries, reconciliations, and month-end closing procedures.

Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and timely payments.

Prepare and manage financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Ensure compliance with accounting principles and relevant regulations, including GAAP.

Handle income tax filing, business tax and property tax payments, and other regulatory financial obligations are met.

Lead and supervise a small team of accounting staff, ensuring task completion deadlines are met and accurate.

Collaborate with external auditors during audits and assist in ensuring all documentation is accurate and complete.

Provide financial analysis and reporting to senior management.

Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve financial efficiency.

Collaborate with other departments to optimize financial strategies and decision-making.

Requirements

A minimum of 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, which includes at least 2 years in a management or supervisory role.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and advanced Excel skills.

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
