Job Title: Manufacturing Technician (2nd Shift)

Location: Goleta, CA 93117

Shift: 2nd Shift (1:30 PM - 11:00 PM, Friday: 12:30 PM - 9:00 PM)

Compensation: $15-30/hr

Contract: Yes / 12 Months with possible extension

Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Manufacturing Technician to join our team on the 2nd shift. This role involves collaborating with engineers to perform tasks associated with manufacturing operations, including set-up, calibration, and quality testing of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. The successful candidate will help develop methods and procedures to control and optimize manufacturing processes while adhering to high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform set-up, calibration, rework, and quality testing to ensure product standards are met.

  • Use advanced software to collect and evaluate operational data, making necessary on-line adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.

  • Collaborate with engineers to conduct experiments and develop methods to modify the manufacturing process.

  • Handle fragile composite materials with care and precision.

  • Bond and prepare composite structures for bonding to metallic fittings.

  • Ensure accurate documentation for material usage, traceability, pot life, and out-time controls for adhesive materials.

  • Report data accurately and communicate effectively with other departments.

  • Prepare tools, apply release agents, and perform tooling maintenance.

  • Use measurement tools such as calipers, rulers, and tape measures for hardware fabrication.

  • Read and interpret manufacturing blueprints and shop planning documentation.

  • Maintain the overall cleanliness and appearance of the shop.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Minimum of 2 years of additional education or relevant experience.

  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow complex instructions.

  • Experience using measurement tools such as calipers and rulers.

  • Familiarity with composite materials and adhesive bonding processes is a plus.

  • Ability to read blueprints and shop planning documents.



Pay Details: $15.00 to $30.00 per hour
