Position

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Manager, Learning & Development - Clinical Research & Development, to create and deliver learner-centered educational strategies and engaging learning solutions to ensure effective and compliant training in support of the growth and organizational effectiveness of our Clinical R&D team. This role is pivotal in promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development. This role will require a minimum of 3 days a week of onsite presence (or more as business needs require) in either of our California, New York or New Jersey offices to ensure effective management, operational excellence and high-performance delivery of clinical studies and to support the expected significant team growth & collaboration.

The ideal candidate for the Manager, Learning & Development - Clinical R&D role is a collaborative and dynamic individual with a strong background in developing and implementing educational programs. They have experience in creating effective training using a mix of training modalities, possess excellent instructional design and communication skills, and are proficient in data analysis to enhance training effectiveness. Additionally, they are committed to fostering an inclusive and equitable learning environment for all team members.

What You'll Do

  • Design, deliver, and assess comprehensive learning and development programs tailored to the specific needs of the Clinical R&D team.
  • Partner with clinical leaders, subject matter experts, and cross-functional teams to identify learning needs and create effective training solutions.
  • Develop eLearning, instructor-led training, microlearning, and additional training modalities to supplement current training delivery.
  • Develop User Manuals, Quick Reference Guides, and system navigation training videos for Clinical R&D systems such as CTMS and eTMF.
  • Create and manage training matrix, curricula, and training assignments for Clinical R&D and external partners or vendors.
  • Identify, assess, and manage GxP risks/trends and recommend mitigation strategies to management.
  • Utilize various assessment tools and methodologies to measure the impact of learning programs and continuously improve them based on feedback and data analysis.
  • Oversee the maintenance and enhancement of learning management systems and other educational technologies.
  • Ensure all learning programs are inclusive, accessible, and promote equity for all team members, regardless of background or identity.


Qualifications

  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or 3 years and a PhD; or equivalent experience.
  • Experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with Veeva Quality Vault and other educational technologies is required.
  • Strong instructional design and curriculum development skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis to drive decision-making.
  • A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of work.
  • Ability to work onsite at least 3 days a week.

The expected salary range for this role is $122,000 to $133,000 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
