Job description

The client is seeking a full-time, on-site QA Inspector in Hayward, CA, with a contract lasting until the end of December, possibly extending. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of finished goods through inspections, verification of manufacturing processes, and compliance with cGMP standards. Key responsibilities include inspecting in-process materials, conducting audits, managing quality retains, and collaborating with various departments to resolve product quality issues. Attention to detail, courage to address issues, collaboration skills, and cGMP experience are essential.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

o Responsible for the inspection and verification activities in the manufacturing process. Must always adhere to current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs)

o Inspection and release of production and in-process materials and components.

o Verify various manufacturing steps and techniques.

o Inspection of in-process finished goods and other samples for distribution.

o Tagging and de-tagging of discrepant material.

o Release of packaged product into the warehouse.

o Maintenance and disposal of quality retains.

o Control and verification of patient labels.

o Archiving of quality records.

General Quality Duties

o Closely monitors production lines and personnel to verify compliance to specifications and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements.

o Conducts final packaging inspections of final product and documents results appropriately.

o Interacts with appropriate departments to ensure product quality issues are resolved before final product release.

o Monitors and ensures proper segregation and identification practices during manufacturing or rework processes.

o Perform periodic audits of manufacturing practices and local procedures. Procedural changes in response to these audits may be initiated and coordinated by the QA Inspector.

o Must be able to effectively communicate across all departments and levels of management.

o Other duties, as assigned.
