Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
Incumbent is responsible for complex analytical support on payor and provider contract negotiations on behalf of UCI Health, comprised of both the Medical Center and Faculty physicians. Incumbent is responsible for creating complex models to assess and/or develop innovative, forward-thinking hospital and physician reimbursement structures. Incumbent will assist the Director of Contracting and UCI Health Executive Leadership in their decision-making process and provide recommendations to optimize financial and contractual outcomes of negotiations. The incumbent participates in negotiations and interacts with health plans, vendors, and other departments within the organization to ensure integrity and effectiveness of financial models and data.

Required Qualifications:
Strong financial, analytical and planning skills to effectively evaluate projects and new business opportunities

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Minimum 3-4 years' experience working in contracting for a health plan, medical group or hospital, or an equivalent combination of work experience performing high level data analysis
Experience in contract modeling and/or reimbursement modeling
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Management or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in an academic medical setting
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
