Responsibilities:
Position Summary:

This position works closely with the Director of Clinical Informatics to craft a vision for the Epic Training Plan. Responsible for Epic Clinical training department, including managing development and delivery of all Epic training curriculum, environments and classes for Epic. Designs, develops, and facilitates the deployment of the Epic training curriculum. Oversees coordinating training schedules and access and build of training facilities. Identifies, manages, and schedules any ongoing enhancement, workflow change, and remedial training needed across all application users.

Required Qualifications:

Ability to mentor and coach direct reports

Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

A deep understanding of hospital organizations and EPIC certification and/or understanding of the EPIC product suite

Ability to manage and lead a training team

Demonstrated project management skills (technology and people) with a track record of achieving goals on time and on budget.

Demonstrated ability to be self-directed with excellent organizational, writing, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

The ability to probe for information about the underlying needs of the organization and user community, which directly influences the training needs of the organization

Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

Experience training and supporting EMR in ambulatory / clinical setting

Ability to understand and interpret clinical needs and transform IT technical tools to meet the needs of application users

Minimum of 5 years of training/professional development experience

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties

Bachelor's Degree in education, instructional design, adult learning, organizational development, or healthcare or a combination of education and experience required

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior experience with instructor-led classroom training and/or Epic preferred

Master's degree in related field

Previous experience working in a healthcare IT environment and/or healthcare IT consulting organization

Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures, and forms
