Major Responsibilities
- Timely and accurately process payroll and billing for assigned clients each week.
- Process payroll for exempt and non-exempt employees for various pay frequencies/cycles.
- Reconcile and audit each payroll and billing batch.
- Generate and distribute weekly checks, reports, and invoices to clients
- Respond to and process payroll requests and inquiries.
- Provide customer service on inquiries about payroll and invoices
- Enter employee garnishments and various deductions into the payroll system.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion with information related to clients, employees, managers, and department operations, without exception.
- Maintain a professional appearance and work ethic
- Work as a team to meet weekly processing goals.
- Other duties as needed.
Experience Requirements
- 3 years of payroll processing experience and Payroll Professional Certification preferred.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment, independently and with a team
- Thorough understanding of payroll processing, procedures, and payroll tax reports
- Solid understanding of federal and state wage and hour laws including payroll, employee versus employer taxes, multi-state tax withholding, deductions and garnishments, knowledge of payroll compliance.
- Excellent organizational skills with relentless follow-up
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills
- Experience with ISolved Payroll software a plus
- Experience with Excel, Microsoft Teams, and Outlook a plus
- Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
