QC Inspector
Irvine, CA
6+ month contract-to-hire
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour.



Succesful candidate will perform inspections in receiving, shop, and assembly operations. Provide technical assistance on inspection and measurement systems. Operate CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) for critical inspections, including GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) inspections.

Requirements:

  • Experience testing and inspecting purchased components, assemblies, and machine parts.
  • Extensive experience using measuring devices and inspection tools.
  • At least 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance/Control.
  • Strong preference for experience with automated CMM; manual CMM experience is acceptable.
  • Familiarity with calibrated gauges and equipment for inspections.
  • Ability to take accurate measurements using precision devices like Vision Systems, CMM, micrometers, Vernier dial calipers, etc.
  • Experience in preparing documentation for assembly, machine work, and inspection records.
  • Proficient in blueprint reading and understanding precision tolerances.
  • Practical experience with GD&T and CMM.
  • Strong mathematical skills for using units of measure.
  • Proficient with PC and Manufacturing Data Systems.
  • Experience supporting Quality and Operations departments.
  • Ability to identify, segregate, and process discrepant material according to procedures.
  • Familiarity with Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) devices.
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and Quality System Manuals.

This role is ideal for someone with a solid background in Quality Assurance/Control, especially in a manufacturing environment, and experience with CMM and GD&T.
