We are hiring a Scientist I - Analytical Sciences. The Scientist I - Analytical Sciences will conduct research under the direction of a supervisor leading to the development of new analytical methods and testing services and support new or improved products.

Responsibilities

Develops robust LC, LC-MS methods for small and large molecules to support analytical testing services, product development, technical product support, and/or process improvements.

Works on problems of moderate scope in which analysis of situation or data requires a review of identifiable factors

Follows instructions and exercises judgment within general defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action

Performs various chemical/biological assays.

Performs moderate data analysis and be part of experimental design.

Prepares formal reports and presentations.

Actively participates in group/project meetings

Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications

Maintains Good Laboratory Practices, Procedures, and documentation.

Required Skills/Education

B.S. in a Biological/Chemical Science or equivalent. M.S. preferred.

Minimum 0-3 year of relevant working experience in Mass Spectrometry field

General lab safety.

Ability to use professional concepts, company's policies, and procedures to perform a wide range of assigned work

Ability to demonstrate potential for technical proficiency, scientific creativity, collaboration with others and independent though

Advanced knowledge of Analytical Chemistry and Biochemistry.

Advanced knowledge of basic laboratory equipment (scales, pH meters, etc.)

Knowledge of Cell Culture, Microbiology and Programing languages (R, Python etc.)

Knowledge of commonly used experimental/research concepts, practices, procedures and statistical data analysis.

General knowledge of computer systems.

General knowledge of GMP, GLP and GDP procedures.

Ability to speak, write and read English fluently.

Salary and Benefits:

For California, the base salary range for this position is $61,594 to $79,953.75 annually. Compensation for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience, location, etc.).
