Responsibilities:
UC Irvine is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy HRIS Systems Analyst to join our Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) team to cover for a team member on leave of absence. This temporary position is responsible for assisting in the configuration and maintenance of HR systems, ensuring data accuracy, providing help desk support, troubleshooting system issues, and managing mass data uploads. The ideal candidate will have ability to quickly learn department processes and procedures, have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a passion for improving HR processes, optimizing work efficiencies and increasing users' overall system experience through technology. Applicants with intermediate to expert Excel skills preferred.

Pay Rate: $36.88/hr
Key Responsibilities:
Primary focus of this position is both functional and technical in support of all HR systems that include reporting, analytics and transactional processing.
Assist in the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of HR systems to support organizational needs and initiatives.
Ensure data integrity by performing regular audits and quality checks on employee data within the HRIS.
Monitor and manage the HRIS help/support desk, responding to user inquiries and troubleshooting system-related issues in a timely manner.
Perform mass uploads of employee/HR data, such as new hires, pay changes, and organizational changes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal processes.
Collaborate with HR and IT teams to develop and implement system enhancements and upgrades.
Assist in the creation and maintenance of system documentation, user guides, and training materials.
Stay updated on HRIS best practices and industry trends to provide recommendations for continuous system improvements.
Provide basic training and support to HR staff and end-users on system functionality and troubleshooting.
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
1-3 years of experience working with HRIS systems or in a related HR/IT role.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data management and analysis.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical staff at various levels in the organization.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Basic understanding of HR processes and data, with a desire to learn and grow in the HRIS field.
Ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions in English.
Preferred: Experience with HRIS systems such as Workday, SAP, or Oracle.
Preferred: Knowledge of database management, mass data uploads, and system configuration.
Preferred: Familiarity with data privacy and security best practices.

TEMPORARY EMPLOYMENT
This is a temporary employment recruitment reporting to the UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) Department. Interviewing and hiring is based on internal hiring needs and how well the candidate's experience matches the assignment requirements. Certain temporary assignments may require clearance of a health physical or require a valid California Driver's License for driving university vehicles.
The majority of our temporary positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. We also have occasional part-time, weekend, and evening hours available, depending on the assignment.
