Overview:
The Media Manager works to build the company brand awareness through creative & media buys along with developing, implementing, tracking and optimizing marketing campaigns presented across all channels. The Media Manager will oversee creative, traditional and digital ad buys as well as social media content and email marketing by working closely with outside agencies and vendor partners. This position is primarily responsible for ensuring brand image and researching advertising proposals to acquire cost-efficient and budget-conscious advertising space. This position will assist in all marketing and advertising needs such as production, graphic design, content development, scheduling, and purchasing. Analytical thinking, communication, persuasion, and research abilities are instrumental to the Media Manager's success.

Responsibilities:
Ensure that each guest receives outstanding service by creating a friendly environment and following Jackson Rancheria Guest Service Guidelines.

Stays abreast of industry trends, business opportunities, and best practices.

Assists in shaping and communicating the vision and mission of Jackson Rancheria.

Analyzes brand positioning and consumer insights.

Creates media plans, story boards, and supporting documentation.

Measures and reports monthly performance of all campaigns, and assess ROI and key performance indicators.

Assists in determination of budget allocation across media opportunities with rationale.

Monitors market trends, research consumer markets and competitors activities.

Evaluates emerging technologies and provides through, leadership, and perspective for adoption where appropriate.

Assists all Jackson Band of Miwuk Indians properties in their marketing efforts as needed.

BRAND MANAGEMENT

Leads creative development to motivate target audience through video production, photoshoots, digital displays, outdoor, print, TV, radio, streaming services, web banners, email marketing, and direct mail marketing working closely with creative team to develop an integrated media collateral.

Assist in broadcast pre-production, day-of-production, and post-production

Develops content for video and radio ad scripts.

Coordinates with outside agencies and production companies to create storyboards, shot lists, and scripts.

Coordinates internal communication for day-of-production including tribal, employee, and guest notifications.

Assists in all areas of film production ensuring JRCR standards, goals and brand.

Assists all photographers in execution of shot list.

Graphic design - Adobe Creative - Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign capabilities

Assists Graphic Design & Production Manager with collateral creative and graphic design as needed for concerts, promotions, food & beverage, special events, and other casino needs.

Responsible for the creative layout of advertisements in print, outdoor, digital, social media and email marketing as well as direct mailers and postcards.

Serves as photographer for special events, concerts, hosted player parties, etc.

ADVERTISING

Reviews and recommends advertising agreements (rates, placements, parameters, etc).

Recommends media rates and identifies added value opportunities.

Researches appropriate media vehicles and prepares research documentation for the Marketing dept.

Creates insertion orders and expedites placement.

Communicates with agencies, account executives and traffic department regarding ad materials.

Sources, evaluates, and executes new media opportunities and sustainable, scalable partnerships.

Coordinates campaigns through all phases of launch and maintenance, including negotiations of the media buy, contract review, reporting, and analysis and optimization.

Assists in writing RFPs that includes media brief elements, necessary for reps to provide accurate proposals

Recommends budget allocation across media opportunities with rationale.

Works closely with creative team, beyond supplying specs, to develop an integrated media/creative product.

Analyzes performance and optimize price/volume/targeting based on results to maximize ROI.

Responsible for accurate tracking and reporting of media costs.

Coordinates with agencies on print, outdoor, broadcast, and radio trafficking to give direction on creative run schedule.

Orders vinyl, ensures shipment, and installation of outdoor media.

Keeps all media schedules consistent and relevant.

SOCIAL MEDIA AND EMAIL MARKETING

Knowledge of Facebook for Business, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, Yelp, Trip Advisor, Expedia, Google Business, Google Ad Words, Google Analytics.

Sources, evaluates, and executes digital marketing opportunities and sustainable, scalable partnerships.

Negotiates and reviews advertising agreements.

Plans and executes social media campaigns, conquests, and ensures schedule is executed.

Plans and executes advertising creative and digital marketing including SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media, and display ad campaigns.

Collaborates with internal and external teams to create landing pages and optimize user experience.

Adheres to social media rules and regulations of JRCR and best business practices.

Stays up on social media trends and new platforms as they relate to JRCR needs.

Qualifications:
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree in Marketing plus five years of experience managing media activities in an advertising agency or in-house marketing department or an equivalent level of education and work experience preferred.

Pay range: $69,200 to $90,000 per year

Shift Differential: Non-Exempt employees will receive a $1.00 per hour shift differential for any hours worked between 10:00pm and 6:00am
