JOB SUMMARY: Manages the day-to-day operations for all Hospital Patient Access Areas. Plans, organizes, directs, staffs and controls a wide range of operations and activities pertaining to patient registration, including, but not limited to, insurance verification, scheduling, pre-registration, prior authorization verification, and point of service collections. Provides daily direction and leadership to assigned staff. Monitors Quality Assurance measures, and oversight in ongoing staff training. The goal of this position is to ensure high quality service for patients and accuracy of information affecting both pre and post visit services
QUALIFICATIONS
Education: " Bachelor s Degree, Preferred. " Relevant work experience may be substituted for degree, 2 years, full-time management role, required.
Work Experience: " Strong knowledge of the patient admitting process and the functional workings of the Admitting Department required " Minimum of 3 years managing, supervising, mentoring staff in a medical environment. " Previous Hospital Admitting Management experience required. " Experience with Cerner Community Works, preferred. " Good oral and written communication skills to work with patients, physicians and department staff
Language Requirements: " Bilingual (English/Spanish) - preferred
