SENIOR TRANSPORTATION OPERATIONS MANAGER

The purpose of this position is to coordinate the customer service and driver functions of the transportation terminal. The manager will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of the terminal while maintaining and reporting key performance indicators and improving revenue streams. Managing the warehouse and employees, ensuring smooth operations and adding a support system for personnel.

DUTIES

-identify and develop new business opportunities while maintaining the sustainability of core business

-Knowledgeable in the development of technical skills and data management

-Ability to implement and follow standard processes to successfully overcome operational challenges

-Identify opportunities for increased revenue

-Respond to all business communications

-Support company operational success, market share growth and new business opportunities

-Knowledge and scope of operations, transportation as it pertains to freight delivery and compliance

QUALIFICATIONS

- GED of Equivalent is required

-Leadership experience

- CDL is preferred but not required

- Knowledge of PC operations, Microsoft Office, Operating Software, Data Entry, Office Machines and Administrative office Processes

-Analytical thinking and process management

-Education in Transportation Safety (DOT knowledge)

-Prior experience in the Transportation Industry
