Job Title: Assistant Superintendent / Assistant Project Manager

About Us:

We are a high-end luxury home builder specializing in custom residences 10,000 square feet or larger with values starting at $15,000,000. Our projects require meticulous attention to detail, precision in execution, and expertise in managing all aspects of the construction process. We are currently seeking a dedicated Assistant Superintendent / Assistant Project Manager to assist our Sr. Project Manager in the daily management and planning of these premier residential construction projects.

Position Overview:

The primary role of the Assistant Construction Superintendent is to provide administrative support to the Sr. Project Manager in managing high-end residential construction sites. This position requires superb administrative skills and the ability to manage plans, contracts, purchase orders, and change orders while maintaining project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in managing job sites for luxury residential projects alongside the Sr. Project Manager.

- Aid in determining project resources and necessary participants to achieve project goals.

- Participate in project status meetings and ensure effective communication across the team.

- Alert the Sr. Project Manager of any potential deviations from project plans or schedules.

- Assist in bid procurement, material selection, and contractor selection.

- Track and manage project communications, ensuring all details are followed up on to avoid missteps.

- Maintain confidentiality and uphold high ethical standards throughout the construction process.

Skills & Qualifications:

- High School Diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.

- 3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably within California.

- Strong ability to read and interpret architectural plans.

- Familiarity with local cities and jurisdictions (California building code experience required).

- Hillside construction experience preferred.

- Customer service-oriented with strong communication skills.

- Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and various construction software tools including:

- SAGE

- O365

- Buildertrend

- MS Project

- Bluebeam

- Planswift

- AutoCAD

- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.

- Ability to identify, analyze, and solve project-related issues effectively.

Preferred Experience:

- Strong background in residential construction, particularly in managing high-value custom homes.

- Commercial construction experience acceptable with demonstrated ability to fulfill the outlined duties.
