How you make a difference:
The Compliance and Performance Improvement Administrator is responsible for overseeing performance improvement activities and ensuring compliance with DHCS, Title 9, and CARF accreditation standards, as well as HIPAA regulations and all relevant state, federal, and local regulations. They work with facility leadership to ensure compliance with contracts and regulations and utilize strong interpersonal, computer, and analytical skills to identify and solve problems through root cause analysis and providing solutions to management and the executive team.
Key Responsibilities:
Designs and implements compliance programs, policies, and practices to ensure facility-wide adherence to CARF accreditation standards, Title 9 regulations, HIPAA regulations, and all applicable federal, state, and local statutes.
Coordinates compliance with contracts between the facility and DHCS, Counties, and other relevant entities, and submits responses and corrective action plans as needed.
Establishes and chairs the compliance committee, develops internal reporting processes, conducts investigations of alleged non-compliance issues, and provides orientation to management and staff on the compliance program.
Oversees the facility's Performance Improvement Program, tracks indicator reports to identify trends, and facilitates continuous process improvement.
Provides training to staff on PI methods, tools, root cause analysis, and project presentations, and develops and directs company compliance communications.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
Bachelor's degree in human services or health care field. Master's degree is preferred.
Experience
Five (5) years management demonstrated experience in compliance or performance improvement administration.
Previous experience in a residential facility or behavioral health environment preferred. (A combination of educational and work experience may be taken into consideration based on management's discretion.)
Knowledge of CARF or comparable agency accreditation requirements.
Licenses/Certifications
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or other quality professional certification preferred.
