Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The RCP provides services to inpatients and outpatients as directed by physicians. Tasks include basic respiratory care, emergency respiratory care, ventilator, management and pulmonary testing. Maintaining department appearance, documents per department standard, be proactive in respiratory drive protocols: 02 weaning, creating new 02 orders, walking desaturation study, proactive with patient care plan, recommending to physician proper treatment plan that best suit the patient need. RCP can also be used as a resource for EKG.

Required Qualifications:
Current RCP license with the State of California,
Minimum of 1 year acute care experience,
Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications:
Registered or Registry Eligible with the National Board of Respiratory Care.
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
Physical Requirements: 1) The ability to stand and walk for long periods of time. 2) Must be dexterity, coordination, visual/auditory acuity to perform job duties. 3) Must be able to turn, lift, and position patients up to several hundred pounds with assistance. 4) Must be able to reach, stretch, and assist patients routinely 5) Must be able to lift and carry boxes up to 30 pounds 6) May be necessary to push up to 400 pounds.
