Volt is immediately hiring Facilities Safety Coordinator in the SFV!

As a Facilities Safety Coordinator you will:

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of facility operations to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety policies.
  • Maintain accurate OSHA logs (Forms 300, 301, and 300A) to track workplace injuries and illnesses, ensuring timely reporting and regulatory compliance.
  • Create and implement comprehensive safety policies and procedures tailored to facility operations, aligning with industry standards and best practices.
  • Collaborate with management and staff to assess safety risks and develop proactive strategies to mitigate identified hazards.
  • Develop and implement innovative programs focused on minimizing workplace injuries, including ergonomic assessments and safety equipment evaluations.
  • Facilitate engaging training sessions for employees on hazard recognition, emergency procedures, and safety compliance to ensure a well-informed workforce.
  • Lead investigations of workplace accidents and near misses, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, inspections, training, and compliance audits to promote accountability and transparency.
  • Stay informed about changes in safety regulations and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance and risk reduction.
  • Assist in developing and implementing emergency response plans, conducting drills to prepare employees for potential emergencies.
  • Champion a culture of safety by effectively communicating safety expectations and encouraging proactive measures among all employees.
  • Organize safety committee meetings to discuss safety performance, share insights, and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct visits to various facilities to assess safety practices and provide support in implementing safety measures.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the overall objectives of the safety team.

This is a Full-Time 1st Shift Opportunity.
Pay Rate: $19-25/hr
The ideal candidate will have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in safety management or facilities operations.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
  • Strong understanding of OSHA regulations and safety management systems.
  • Relevant certifications: OSHA 30-Hour, First Aid/CPR) are preferred.
  • Proven experience in injury prevention and safety management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership.
  • Must be able to read/write and speak Spanish.
