The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
In this hybrid role, you will:
Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and other entities, leveraging both in-office resources and remote work capabilities
Conduct research on complex tax issues and prepare comprehensive memoranda
Assist in tax planning and structuring for various transactions, collaborating virtually and in-person with team members and clients
Help prepare tax provisions and disclosures for financial statements
Analyze and interpret tax laws, regulations, and rulings
Assist in representing clients in tax examinations and disputes with tax authorities, through both virtual and in-person meetings
Contribute to the preparation of client presentations and proposals
Stay current with changes in tax legislation and regulations
Participate in client meetings and conference calls, both virtually and in-person as needed
Assist in developing and maintaining client relationships through various communication channels
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in tax, preferably in a public accounting or professional services environment
Strong knowledge of tax laws and regulations
Previous experience in tax preparation and compliance
Proficient in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in both remote and in-office settings
Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both virtually and in-person
CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA is preferred
Adaptability to work effectively in a hybrid environment
Preferred Skills
Experience with corporate tax, partnership tax, and individual tax issues
Familiarity with tax research tools and databases
Knowledge of financial statements and accounting principles
Experience in specific industries (e.g., financial services, technology, real estate) a plus
Proficiency in virtual collaboration tools and remote work technologies
