PurposeThe Medical Science Liaison has the primary responsibility of building key opinion leader (KOL) partnerships by engaging in the exchange of scientific data and other medical and/or scientific information with external stakeholders in the assigned Therapeutic Areas.
Main ResponsibilitiesExternal Relationship Management & Development:
• Build external partnerships with recognized community and academic medical center KOLs to identify and address scientific needs.
• Identify and develop key thought leaders for medical education, clinical research and publication opportunities.
• Provide field insights gained to field managers and team for elevation within organization.
• Identify opportunities and provide medical support including scientific education to healthcare professionals (HCPs) at key institutions.
Medical Affairs, Therapeutic Support, & Internal Collaboration:
• Represent Chiesi GRD Medical Affairs at scientific meetings.
• Deliver high-caliber medical education presentations.
• Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence from multiple sources.
Project Work:
• Lead and support internal medical projects.
• Support cross-functional projects and streamline medical input.
Administrative Work:
• Accurate and timely completion of all administrative reports and required training.
• Completion of a graduate level degree (PharmD., M.D., D.O, PhD, MSN, MS or equivalent healthcare professional degree) as well as relevant clinical experience.
• 3-5 years clinical experience relevant to the Therapeutic Area assigned to the prospective candidate (preferred).
