Job Description

The Office of Diversion and Reentry (ODR), within the Los Angeles County Department of Health Services, develops and implements programs to divert people with serious mental, physical and/or behavioral health needs away from the LA County Jail and into community-based care.

The Program Manager serves as a team leader providing supervision to program staff as well as overseeing day to-day operations of the program. The Program Manager ensures the delivery of quality care in accordance to the rules and regulations established by the Office of Diversion and Rehabilitation for contracted agencies as well as adhering to the mission of St. Joseph Center.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The Program Manager's key areas of responsibility include:

• Along with the Division Manager, develop, review, and revise, as necessary all administrative policies and procedures in keeping with program requirements.

• Oversee service delivery, consulting regularly with the Division Manager regarding quality control issues to maintain the highest standard of services.

• Coordinate the development of cooperative relationships with other service providers, police and public safety officers and/or any other community resources.

• Collaborate with the Clinical Support staff in order to provide comprehensive and thorough supervision to staff.

Essential Duties:

• Provide clinical and administrative supervise into all program/department staff.

• Participate in weekly conference calls and staff meetings.

• Oversee service delivery consulting regularly with the Director regarding quality control issues to maintain the highest standard of services.

• Along with the Director, manage program activities to assure timely completion of progress notes and all forms of related to the program.

• May provide assessment, crisis intervention, mental health, and case management services to a small caseload of consumers.

• Collect statistics and prepare reports for funders and internal agency use.

• Ensure that fee-for-service billing is submitted to our funder thoroughly, accurately and in a timely manner.

• Ensure that weekly, monthly and quarterly reports are submitted accurately and in a timely manner.

• Coordinate the development of cooperative relationships with other service providers, Office of Diversion and Rehabilitation, Housing for Health, police, and public safety officers and/or any other community resources.

• Participating in other St. Joseph Center community, administrative and fundraising activities as necessary.

• Participate in appropriate contract related meetings.

• May be dispatched to jail settings, street outreach locations, client homes and/or homeless encampments as needed.
