Tact Staff is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Los Angeles, California.

Minimum 2 years of Telemetry experience required May float to Med-Surg 12/2 start date ONLY! Accepts 1st time travelers! Additional Requirement: Must be able to read strips Required Certifications: ACLS BLS NIH Unit Details: Avg Census: 36 Rooms/Beds 36 Ratios - 1:4 Every other weekend coverage required No Call requirement Scrubs: Royal Blue Patient Population: Adolescents - Geriatrics Must be able to work in Telemetry setting and will receive general medical surgical patients and moderate volume orthopedic surgical cases. Total joint ortho experience would be required Required Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency Response Skills: Interpretation of dysrhythmias Management of dysrhythmias Telemetry - on the unit monitoring Telemetry - remote monitoring Use of Rapid Response Teams Required Cardiovascular skills: Post Cardiac Angiogram Post MI Pre/Post Cardiac Cath Pre/Post Cardiac Surgery Required IV Therapy/Phlebotomy Skills: Blood Product Administration Central line care/management PICC line management Starting IVs Required Medication skills: Heparin Protocols Manage Cardiac drips- no titration Manage Vasoactive drips-no titration Required Respiratory/Thoracic Skills: Chest tubes-Emerson/Pleuravac External CPAP/BIPAP High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) Nasal Cannula Non-invasive airway management Oxygen face masks Tracheostomy Management RTO must be on the submittal No RTO the first two weeks of an assignment Please Note: Once RTO is submitted, this cannot be changed unless it's to cancel time requested - ensure that you have confirmed all dates needed off for the full 13 week contract
