    The Product Strategy (PS) team's mission is to shape the best strategic direction for Client.

    We do so by monitoring and analyzing trends driving our industry, identifying consumer needs, adding structure to ambiguous problems, and framing key decisions for our leaders. We work closely with product leaders and other cross-functional teams to define and translate our work into actionable insights to influence the long-term product roadmap.

    As strategists, we are passionate about leveraging quantitative and qualitative signals to inform strategy. We are looking for someone to drive initiatives related to improving market data coverage and quality and provide insights on industry leading and trending apps.

    Successful candidates for this position will have or develop a deep understanding of the product landscape, including trends, players, technologies, and underlying dynamics. They will partner with cross-functional teams (e.g. business development, data engineering, data science) to source, test / document & recommend data sources and analytics enhancements. The ideal candidate will have solid data analysis skills, good product sense, project management skills and structured thinking & communication.

    Minimum Qualifications:

  • Consulting background (spanned entire lifecycle of collecting data, evaluating and then presenting in a logical way to stakeholders)

  • 4+ years of experience in data analytics/data science, consulting, strategy, business operations and/or program management

  • 2+ years of experience leading data strategy/analytics/data science projects at a consulting firm, in a corporate strategy team, or similar

  • Experience in analytics and modeling, including advanced proficiency with SQL & Excel, PowerPoint (or equivalent)

  • Demonstrated experience structuring and solving analytical problems

  • Demonstrated experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders/teams to achieve outcomes

  • Demonstrated experience of presenting to leadership and influencing product decisions

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters' degree or equivalent in business, marketing, analytics, engineering, or other related quantitative discipline (e.g. MBA)

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in management consulting, strategy, business operations, and/or program management

  • Experience in the consumer internet space, including social, communications, media, and entertainment verticals

  • Experience with data analysis and visualization tools

    Job Responsibilities:

  • Data Analysis: Assist with data analysis, including database queries, creation of analysis/reports, bug bashing with data engineering on data quality issues, perform research from external data sources, etc.

  • Influence product strategy decisions: Review data insights and explain their implications to product with the goal of helping strategists influence strategy decisions aligned with Client's mission

  • Vendor evaluation: Assist with data vendor onboarding and contract renewals

  • Testing: Support new data related features rollout and testing in collaboration with cross functional partners

  • Documentation: Assist in the development of requirements and documentation for data and analytics enhancements for the product strategy team
