Position Summary: Terray is seeking new scientific minds to join our Microarray Screening team as a as a Research Associate. The focus of this position is the screening of proteins on Terray's proprietary spatially encoded ultra-dense microarrays. The candidate will be a part of the larger biology team dedicated to screening and biology assays and will collaborate on daily basis with automation team, computational and data sciences team and production team. The position will be based in Monrovia, California.
The core responsibilities of this position are:
- Preparing buffers for each protein
- Proteins handling (dilutions, fluorescent secondary labeling) and quality control
- Microarrays handling (inventory, blocking, loading, imaging)
- Running proteins across the arrays through automated fluidics systems
- Imaging the arrays on the microscope between protein binds
- Imaging data QC
- Data analysis and screening data QC
- Interpret and communicate results
- Process development and optimization
- Record, organize, maintain experiments in electronic notebooks
- Organization of lab and equipment and other tasks as needed

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, or related disciplines
- Excellent attention to details and accurate data entry
- Ability to identify and solve problems
- Skill in time management and multitasking
- Excellent organization, interpersonal, written and verbal communication and can thrive in highly collaborative research environment
- Ability to record, interpret, and report results with clarity
- Demonstrated technical proficiency and ability to deliver high-quality data
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experienced in a wet lab environment
- Experience working with proteins
- Experience in microscopy

Compensation Details: $62,500 - $84,000 (annually) depending on seniority; participation in the Company's option plan; 3% retirement safe harbor contribution; fully paid medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits.
