JOB DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE: Night Auditor DEPARTMENT: Front Office REPORTS TO: Director of Rooms / Front Office Manager DIVISION: Rooms EXEMPT OR NON-EXEMPT: Non-Exempt JOB DESCRIPTION: The Night Auditor is responsible for ensuring guest satisfaction through check in, check out and attentive coordination of hotel services for each guest. The Night Auditor will be focused on optimizing each guest's experience by promoting hotel services, facilities and outlets and providing information of upcoming events/functions in the hotel and surrounding areas. The Hotel Night Auditor accurately balances and audits the hotel's income and expenses for the current 24-hour period. THE ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS OF THIS JOB ARE: Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner. Accurately balances all hotel income and expenses for 24 hour hotel operating period Balance and audit for accuracy room revenue, food and beverage revenue and telephone revenue; assists in the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues Balances and audits for accuracy all room and tax charges, cashier's reports, and guest and house accounts Respond appropriately to guest complaints. Make appropriate service recovery gestures to ensure total guest satisfaction Be aware of hotel occupancy and availability Assist with hotel shuttle service when needed Performs all Guest Service Representative functions as required; may assist in booking room reservations; answering hotel phone calls and notifying guests of messages The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this position. Possess excellent technical, conceptual, and financial skills. Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include nights, weekends and holidays based upon company needs. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES: Knowledge of the entire hotel safety procedures to ensure the safety and security of our guests and employees. EDUCATIONAL / CERTIFICATION / LICENSE REQUIREMENTS: High School Diploma or equivalent - Required Some Accounting and/or Hospitality College Classes- Preferred REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Proficiency in using various computer software programs, Microsoft Work, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, and general office equipment Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment Excellent time management and organizational skills PREVIOUS EXPERIENCED REQUIRED: 1-year of Front Desk/Guest Service Experience - Required ACTIVITY SUMMARY Never Occasionally Frequently Constantly Sitting Standing Walking Crawling Bending Over Reaching Overhead Balancing Pushing/Pulling Lifting/Carrying 10 lbs. or less 20 to 50 lbs.
