Job Title: Hardware Design Engineer 5

Location: Mountain View, CA (Onsite 1-2 times a month)

Pay Range: $80/hr. - $85/hr.

contract length: 6 - 18 months

We are seeking a UPF & Power Intent Expert Hardware Engineer with a strong track record in power intent specifications, UPF creation, and verification. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in power analysis and optimization, utilizing tools such as Prime Power, PP-RTL/Power Artist, Power Replay, and Empower.

Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience

1. Minimum 3-5 years Creating UPF files at block, SoC levels & all levels in

2. Minimum 3-5 years Strong understanding of Power Intent requirements and specs

3. Minimum 3-5 years as an Expert user of VCLP

Key Responsibilities:

Create and maintain Unified Power Format (UPF) files for complex blocks based on power intent specifications in collaboration with RTL engineers.

Provide guidance to RTL engineers on UPF creation for simpler blocks.

Execute VCLP for Schip and SoC UPF creation and verification.

Work closely with teams to meet power intent requirements across various block levels and SoC designs.

Required Skills & Experience:

UPF File Creation: Expertise in developing and managing UPF files at block and SoC levels, as well as intermediate levels.

Power Intent Specifications: In-depth understanding of power intent requirements and specifications.

VCLP Expertise: Proficiency in VCLP (Voltage-Control Logic Processing) for UPF creation and verification.

Power Analysis & Optimization (Preferred): Knowledge of power analysis and optimization tools like Prime Power, PP-RTL/Power Artist, Power Replay, and Empower is a plus.

Qualifications:

10+ years of relevant hardware design experience.

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in creating UPF files at block and SoC levels.

Minimum 3-5 years of understanding power intent specifications and VCLP expertise.

Nice to Have:

Experience with power analysis and optimization tools such as Prime Power, PP-RTL/Power Artist, Power Replay, and Empower.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced hardware engineer to contribute to advanced SoC and block-level design in a collaborative, high-performance environment. The role requires occasional onsite work in Silicon Valley, with most of the work done remotely.
