JOB SUMMARY Leads associates in Validation and Warranty Labs and Quality Assurance Inspection activities. Performs all lab inspection, validation and quality functions and provides technical leadership, training and feedback to lab and inspection associates. Pay Range: $24.70 - $27.17 per hour ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Oversees all auditor and inspector activities to ensure production quality targets are met. Reallocates manpower as needed to meet targets. 2. Ensures all auditors and inspectors are properly trained and accountable for all quality processes. 3. Monitors auditor and inspector work performance and counsels as needed. Communicates performance to supervisor and other stakeholders. 4. Cross trained and able to support other functions in the QA department as necessary. 5. Assists Quality Assurance and Engineering associates in coordinating inspection, validation and quality activities for new and existing products, as well as warranty claimed products. 6. Ability to read and interpret Engineering drawings, Engineering Change Notice and other requirements. Establishes Quality Control Inspection Standards based upon these documents. 7. Completes close tolerance validation and inspection per drawings and/or other documentation. 8. Issues Non-Conforming Material Reports and Corrective Preventative Action Requests in response to non-conformity and other issues found at MO. 9. Coordinates containment of non-conforming product. 10. Manages Quality Control Hold area to contain all products that are suspect within DENSO facility. 11. Able to clearly communicate product Quality issues from production floor to various stake holders (i.e. Engineering, Production Control, Material Handling, Receiving, etc.). 12. Performs all other duties and responsibilities as directed by Supervisor/Manager. Standard ADA Selection Production/Manufacturing Environment Exposure is to a manufacturing environment, which lends itself to varying levels of exposure to dust, odor, fumes and temperature extremes dependent upon assigned location(s) within the manufacturing plant. Incumbent may be assigned to other areas such as clean room environments or areas where there may be medium to high noise levels requiring participation in the company's Hearing Conservation Program. Employee must wear appropriate protective welding gear, gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, mask, steel-toed shoes, apron or other predefined personal protective equipment when working in the production and/or warehouse areas. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. Throughout the course of the day, the employee is frequently required to sit, climb or stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. Depending on location, the employee may be exposed to temperature extremes varying from very hot in summer (up to 100 degrees) to very cold in winter (down to 45 degrees). While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often exposed to moving mechanical parts and material handling equipment. In the course of performing welding duties, if a part of assigned job, there is exposure to heat, bright light and airborne ember-like particles. For employees whose regularly assigned work environment is not the production floor, there will be some exposure to dust, odor, fumes, noise, and temperature extremes when job duties take them into the production and/or warehouse areas. Safety shoes, safety glasses and ear protection must be worn while in the production and/or warehouse areas. Other Requirements Must be willing and available to work assigned schedule to include daily overtime, weekends, or alternate shift hours as assigned by Supervisor/Manager to reach production goals.
