Areté is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator III to work in our Northridge, CA facility. The candidate will report directly to the regional IT Manager and provide support for the day-to-day administrative operations of the IT department. Selected candidates must be eligible to obtain a Top Secret security clearance with SCI access and may be subject to passing a CI Polygraph. The selected candidates will collaborate with other Cyber Security and IT staff members, travel occasionally, and provide some afterhours support. Candidates will also support a variety of information systems at varying levels of complexity on the classified and corporate networks. This is an exempt non-supervisory full-time position.
Primary responsibilities:
- Integrating, upgrading, and managing domain services and infrastructure systems in a Microsoft Windows Server environment.
- Configuring and administering various line of business applications, IT/Cyber Tools, and other software solutions.
- Recommending improvements to the company's IT services.
- Contributing to computer and network security using a variety of security-based products.
- Managing data backup and restoration systems for the local facility.
- Some administration and maintenance of client computers and solutions in various LAN environments.
- Providing end user support for local office
- Maintaining software licensing records and providing support to IT budget planning sessions.
- Mentoring other IT staff and leading technical projects.
- Other duties, as assigned.

- Bachelor's Degree in an Information Technology related discipline and/or current, applicable industry-standard certifications (MCSA/Azure, CCNA, Security+, RHCSA);
- Minimum of 5 years working as a Windows System Administrator, Linux Systems Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role;
- Must have or be able to obtain a Security+CE or equivalent certification for DoD 8140/8570 IAT Level II or higher within 90 days of employment;
- Proficiency with domain services utilizing Windows Server including Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, DFS, and DHCP.
- Advanced IT troubleshooting skills and experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work autonomously and on a team.
- Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce technical documentation.
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
- Active Top Secret security clearance;
- System administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 or later.
- Experience in one or more of the following: Microsoft 365, Azure or AWS Administration, SharePoint, Veeam Backup & Replication, or SCCM Configuration Manager
- Familiarity with classified information system Cyber Security tools and technologies (Nessus/ACAS, SCAP Compliance Checker, DISA STIGs).
- Experience collaborating with Cyber Security professionals

U.S. citizenship is required to meet position eligibility.
