EMI Services is hiring a Electrical General Maintenance Worker. The primary responsibilities of this position are to perform electrical maintenance tasks such as fixing or replacing faulty electrical switches, outlets, and circuit breakers. They may also inspect and diagnose problems with electrical systems, and perform repairs such as rewiring circuits or replacing parts.
Salary
$22.64/ hr. plus $4.57 fringe benefits used towards insurance and 401k!

Key Responsibilities
Install residential type (stand-alone) smoke and carbon monoxide detectors
Install/replace GFCI outlets
Identify defective wiring and run new wires in existing conduits
Apply LOTO, test and identify life 208/460 v circuits
Performs other related duties as assigned
Essential Skills
Thorough knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment and systems used in the electrical trade
Thorough knowledge of applicable state and federal codes and regulations pertaining to the electrical trade
Must be able to read and understand blueprints as appropriate to trade
Adaptable and flexible in work situations
Prioritizes tasks to ensure completion in a timely manner
PRACTICES WORKPLACE SAFETY in the use of tools, equipment, and supplies used in repair of HVAC equipment.
Including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent
3-5 years maintenance electrician experience
Arc flash training or ability to obtain
Valid driver's license
Pass a pre-employment drug screening and background check
Regular, dependable attendance
U.S. citizenship to obtain and maintain access to military installations
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift up to 50lbs unassisted
Use of hands, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and walking
Prolonged periods of sitting, bending, squatting, standing, twisting, or stooping
May spend long hours outside and in awkward positions which can cause physical discomfort and strain
May stand for long periods and frequently work on ladders and scaffolds
Electricians risk injury from electrical shock, falls, and cuts
Work both indoors and outdoors in various temperatures (some extreme) and weather conditions.
